Mountain Radiance introduces the Matrix Fractional CO2 skin resurfacing laser to treat fine lines and wrinkles.
If you have fine lines and wrinkles around the cheeks, eyes, lips, neck or hands these can be effectively reduced by treatment with Matrix CO2 resurfacing laser at Mountain Radiance.
The Matrix Fractional CO2 laser is the gold standard in facial resurfacing and reversing the impact of age on the skin. The laser light is directed with pinpoint precision to deeper layers of the skin, almost microscopically penetrating into the deeper layers and selectively causing re-growth of collagen.
This strengthens and increases the biologic substructures under the skin, smoothing and tightening it.
This is safer than traditional CO2 laser resurfacing because it leaves more of the regenerative cells following the treatment to allow re-growth faster, with less down time and shorter return to work times. The word “fractional” refers to the breaking up of a single laser beam into approximately 300 nearly microscopic spots (fractionating) that are spread across an area of approximately one half a square inch of skin.
This fractionating allows safer and faster regeneration of the skin, creating the new and fresh collagen which reduces the fine wrinkling that so many people wish to reduce.
The wonders of modern technology allow this fractionating and approximately 300 laser spots to occur in approximately 1/2 to one second, allowing treatment times of the entire face, neck and hands in about 30 min.
The improvement seen in the skin can range from reduction in the surface defects to phenomenal. The types of facial / skin issues which can be improved are: Fine lines, “crepey” wrinkles, acne scarring, age spots, lines and wrinkles around the eyes and mouth.
Is Fractional CO2 resurfacing right for me?
While the Matrix Fractional CO2 laser is recognized as the laser of choice for fine line and wrinkle reduction, the only way to be certain it is right for you is to come to Mountain Radiance for a consultation.
There is no charge for consultation for new patients, you will be seen by the aesthetician and the doctor. The expected benefits as well as the potential risks of the procedure will be explained to you and you will be photographed as well as give written and verbal consent to the procedure if you and the staff at Mountain Radiance decide it is right for you.
Is it painful?
Laser treatment could be uncomfortable if numbing cream is not used. At Mountain Radiance part of the preparation will involve preparing you for the procedure which will involve use of numbing cream on the areas of skin to be treated as well as oral medication.
Several of our staff have had the procedure and found the procedure to be acceptable. Most people do not experience post procedure discomfort, but measures are taken to ensure a smooth post procedure period.
What is the post procedure period like?
The post treatment period of several days will vary from patient to patient. Much will depend on the desired outcome and therefore the depth and aggressiveness of the treatment will determine the “down time” – the time patients will stay indoors for a few days and apply topical ointment.
Again, this will be covered at the time of the consultation. Everyone we have treated is happy with the results.
