Susan Altermatt – FNP

With over 30 years of nursing experience, Susan Altermatt has a wealth of information on womens’ health, skin rejuvenation and anti-aging therapies.  She works closely with Dr Zacher in the “hands on” implementation of procedures.

Susan obtained her nursing education from Florida Atlantic University in Boca Raton, FL., where she received her Master’s Degree, graduating Summa Cum Laude.  She has been in practice as a nurse for over 30 years and has specialized as a family nurse practitioner since 2002.

Susan is board certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Nurses Credentialing Center and is a licensed RN.  Susan also trained at Clear Concepts Skin Laser Center in Stuart, FL.

Susan and her husband Michael have relocated here from Fort Pierce, Florida to fulfill their dream of living among the beautiful mountains and gracious people of Western North Carolina.  Susan has received the ASPO Award of Excellence in Instruction as well as the IRCC Outstanding Graduate-Nightingale Award.

Susan enjoys gardening, hiking, camping, and singing in her church’s Praise Team. She and Michael have two grown children and two grandsons.
